Pastor Lottie Jenkins-Scott is the pastor of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and is the daughter of the late Reverend James and Mother Annie Laura Grant-Jenkins of Levy, South Carolina. She has 7 siblings, two preceded in death, Mr. James Jenkins III and Ms. Barbara Jenkins-Spencer.   She is married to the Reverend Larry B. Scott.  The Lord has blessed them with two children, Gabrielle Aloiv’J Scott a senior at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, and Larry Alexander Scott a sophomore at the University of South Carolina-Columbia Campus.

In April 1994 she delivered her initial sermon at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and was commissioned as an ordained minister in October 1997.  Due to the declining health of Pastor James Jenkins, Jr., April of 2012, she accepted the torch from her pastor-father and the Macedonia family as appointed Interim Assistant Pastor.  After the death of Pastor Jenkins, she was installed as Pastor of Macedonia January 2013.   Pastor Scott has christened, restored, baptized, eulogized, married, etc. as previously administered by Pastor Jenkins.  Under the leadership of Pastor James Jenkins Jr., Deacon Joseph Bright, Deacon Clarence Kinlaw Sr., and Deacon Daniel Young, Sr. she has been instrumental in the completion of a roof, steeple, and renovation of the church’s foyer and Sanctuary. Under her leadership, current deacon board, and MMBC family they are proud of new Church Van, the installed MMBC entrance sign, new sound system, and renovation to the MMBC Fellowship Hall that is now the Reverend James Jenkins Jr. Missionary Fellowship Hall.  She installed new deacons, Deacon Freddie Jenkins, Sr. and the late honorary Deacon Thomas Primus to the MMBC Deacon’s Board.  In addition, to ministers commissioned under Pastor James Jenkins, Jr., Evangelist Vera Heyward and Evangelist Rose Miller, she installed Minister Charlene Hodges as an associate minister, Evangelist Bernetha Wooden as an outreach Evangelist, and Evangelist April Wright as a minister for our youth department.  Pastor Scott encourages all members of MMBC to embrace our church’s motto:  “MMBC, The Lighthouse of HOPE!”

Her ultimate desire is for the MMBC Family to let our light shine ever so brightly that those in darkness will see our glorious Light.

Pastor Scott’s favorite scripture and personal motto are: Jeremiah 29:11-- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.---Motto: “We are Destined for Greatness, and Victorious in Jesus Christ!”  Thank you.
