Greetings Macedonia Family and Friends far and near!

It is Sunday night, January 24, 2021, and I am watching the third quarter of the National Football League Playoff Conference Championship game between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.  Although I was raised watching and supporting the Dallas Cowboys, I have embraced other football teams, such as the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars.  However, tonight I am cheering on the Chiefs, while my son Larry Alexander is rallying for the Packers.  My husband Larry Bernard and daughter Gabrielle Aloiv’J are both impartial when it comes to various sport teams.  At the end of the game the Chiefs or the Packers will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  On Sunday, February 7th an ultimate winner will be declared as Super Bowl LV Champions.

According to Philippians 3:13-14, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 2020 is behind us and we are now in a brand-New Year! We can reflect and reminisce on all that has occurred previously and thank God that we made it over into this historical new year. We have seen the inauguration of President Joe Biden and our first woman, first African American and Asian American Vice President, Kamala Harris. They along with others pressed forward and at the end of the election, they experienced the joy of being elected for the highest office in the land.

We too, as believers are in a race, ours is defined as the Christian Race.  If we remain on the Lord’s side, we will be declared Champions in Christ Jesus.  I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV.  On this Christian journey, I encourage each of us to hold fast to the confession of our Faith and promises of God.  Jesus is soon to return, and I believe you and I are making preparation for His Glorious return.  As we run in this Christian race, we must continue to keep our eyes on the Master as ambassadors for Christ Jesus.

My sisters and brothers, as blood bought believers in Christ, we were born to be CHAMPIONS on this earth.  As for those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the Bible says in Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. I encourage you to confess the Lord Jesus in your heart.   Today, once you have accepted the Lord into your life, rest assured that you are immediately on the winning side as a true Champion for Jesus!

In closing, I took a break from writing and now know the outcome of the Conference Championship game.  The Kansas City Chiefs prevailed!   Now Mahomes and Brady will square off on February 7th to determine the winner of the NFL Super Bowl Championship 55 title.  Nevertheless, I am elated to report that as believers we do not have to wait for the outcome of our race, for we know that we are more than conquerors and Champions in Christ Jesus our Lord everyday of our lives.  Amen.

Blessings, Peace, and Love,

Lottie Jenkins-Scott,

A Champion for Christ Jesus
